Each year, Michigan United and the Michigan People’s Campaign hold an event called Capitol Day. This is an opportunity to gather in the state’s capital to take a quick look back at the year’s accomplishments before pushing ahead into the challenges we now face: the increased threat of deportation, the poisoning of our air and water and our children being herded into prison.
We’ll meet with our state representatives to tell them our stories and present positive solutions. Michigan United is also launching an exciting new campaign called Universal Family Care to make child care, elder care, and paid family leave accessible for everyone in our state. And of course, there will be a powerful direct action.
We hope you will join us and we hope you will bring your friends, family and neighbors with you.
